**The role**:

- In co-operation with our HSE Manager, drive continuous improvement through collaboration with operational functions.
- Drive cross-functional teamwork to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and internal procedures.
- Develop, deploy, and sustain all HSE guidelines, procedures, and practices.
- Follow through on the continual improvement of all HSE matters, including risk assessments, training, management systems, safe working procedures, and contractor management.
- Manage multiple projects safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct incident investigations, root cause analysis, as well as learning from incidents, and provide follow up reports, lessons learned and safe operating practice solutions.
- Coordinate and facilitate qualitative and quantitative risk assessments.
- Implement incident prevention programs.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of existing and proposed regulations.
- Coordinate other HSE planning tasks, meeting preparation, data analysis and reports as required by the HSE Manager.
- Facilitate closure of corrective/preventative actions generated by the management system, including, but not limited to risk assessments, inspections, investigations, and audits.

**Experience & Qualifications**:

- 5+ years HSE experience preferred.
- Professional health and safety qualification (diploma level or above).
- Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple on-going projects and prioritise workload.
- Maintain working knowledge of industry best practices and participation in industry groups.
- Experience in working with regulatory authorities and industry bodies.
- Ability to leverage technology to understand and analyse data and track trends.
- Working knowledge of safety cases.
- Working knowledge of process safety management.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Deep understanding of management of change process.
- Detail and deadline oriented, yet able to adjust to changing circumstances and priorities.
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience of 14001 and 45001 standards desirable.
- Experience of legionella prevention desirable.
- Lead Auditor experience desirable.
- NEBOSH certificate.
- Be of sufficient calibre to join our management succession programme.

**The Senior HSE Lead works office hours which are Monday to Thursday 0800 to 1700 and Friday 0800 to 1200.**
