Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Team Lead for our Cooling Water Island team at Assystem. This pivotal role involves forming, leading, and managing engineering teams for Front End Engineering Delivery on the RR SMR project.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead engineering activities and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  2. Approve Safety and Functional Requirements to ensure compliance with regulations.
  3. Oversee and sign off on Design Packages to ensure quality and accuracy.
  4. Provide Model Based System Engineering oversight to ensure effective project management.
  5. Prepare and sign off Technical Specifications to ensure clarity and concision.
  6. Monitor and report on programme progress to stakeholders.
  7. Manage risk and opportunities to ensure project success.
  8. Develop and manage a high-performing team to achieve project goals.
  9. Ensure SQEPing of resources to ensure expertise and competence.
  10. Coach and identify training needs to enhance team performance.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in similar roles, from FEED to detailed design.
  2. Leading and integrating multi-disciplinary design teams.
  3. Understanding of power station systems and relevant regulations.
  4. Budgeting and work program definition for complete design project lifecycles.
  5. Proven experience in Front End Engineering solutions for New Build conventional Island.
  6. Knowledge of relevant regulations (ONR, Environment Agency, HSE).
  7. Requirements Capture/Elicitation/management experience.
  8. Model Based System Engineering experience.
  9. Managing sub-contracts and sub-contractors.
  10. CEng in a relevant discipline.
