As an industry leader in the automotive vehicle conversion business based in the North West of England, we are looking for a Sales Office Assistant. Due to the Company’s rapid growth plans for the future we are seeking an articulate, proactive, ambitious, organised, well presented and motivated individual to support and assist the Sales Office Manager. As a Sales Office Assistant you will be one of the first point of contacts for the business and will be responsible for the accurate processing of orders.

The Role:

- Input daily information into the computer system
- General office duties
- Dealing with inbound calls including order enquiries, deliveries, and any other general enquiries.
- Arranging delivery transport for customer orders which will vary depending on quantities, weights, and dimensions of the product
- Responsible for inventory management and the stock and order replenishment process.
- Checking stock levels as soon as an order is processed to ensure the order can be fulfilled.
- Managing the back-order process for samples and product items if low or no stock available to fulfil the order.
- Dealing with any supplier or stock queries relating to customer orders.
- Chasing orders with long lead times and arranging courier bookings and delivery.
- Working with 3rd parties to ensure orders/shipments are planned efficiently and meet specific order requirements.
- Providing excellent aftercare by processing return requests of unwanted goods and organise collections in a timely, effective manner.
- Work closely with the team and follow up on outstanding order and shipping updates.

The Person:

- Ability to show initiative and manage own workload
- Good excel skills and adaptable to learning new system
- IT literate with a good knowledge of Excel
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident to liaise with all departments and levels of staff and external parties
- Previous sales administration experience
- Confident telephone manner
- Knowledge of Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Must be an enthusiastic, committed individual
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to work using own initiative and within a team
- experience in vehicle conversion would be an advantage but not essential

What you can expect in return
- Competitive Salary - rate of pay dependant on age

- Average 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

*Currently trialing half day Fridays which you will need to do a full shift on rota once every 4 weeks*
