**Accounts Senior / Client Accountant / Management Accountant**

McGinnis Loy Associates is proud to be working with a highly respected Regional Accountancy firm in West Birmingham who are looking for an AAT or ACCA or CIMA Qualified or Finalist level Accounts Senior to join their growing team. Managing your own portfolioof clients across a wide range of industry sectors, the role will be client accounting, management accounts and complex bookkeeping with key duties to include:

- Preparing client management accounts & VAT returns, liaising with clients and internal teams as required
- Dealing with more complex areas of bookkeeping and supervision of junior team members
- Supporting Directors and gaining exposure to a wide range of accounting issues under UK and international standards
- Working with a diverse client base including construction, entertainment, holding companies, IT/Hi-Tech, consultancy, transportation and consumer services
- Main point of contact for clients who are mainly UK-based companies and those owned by UK and/or overseas investors
- Planning accounting assignments for the juniors, ensuring agreed budgets and client deadlines are met
- Setting objectives for junior/graduate staff, coaching them on site including reviewing their accounts work
- Close liaison with client internal finance teams and other stakeholders, building long-term relationships for the future benefit of the firm
- Ensuring all Accounts work is carried out profitably and on a timely basis in accordance with internal processes
- Attending external business seminars and events to help build relationships with clients and prospective new clients
