We are BEAR. We’re an ambitious young company determined to take a big bite out of bad snacking habits. Grrr. We make pure fruit snacks with no added nonsense that make being healthy a little bit easier and a whole lot tastier. Real Fruit, Real Flavour, Real Fun We started out making our tasty pure fruit yoyos, and now also make a whole host of other tasty pure fruit products too that go into several snacking categories: ‘paws’ for babies and toddlers, crunchy ‘Alphabites’ cereal with no refined sugar or salt. Ice lollies made from only two ingredients and a big ambition to take this brand beyond the above. We also make Urban Fruit, gently baked fruit to eat on the go, for the 25-45 year olds who run around leading busy lives but who find eating a juicy mango on the bus home a bit of a challenge. Since we launched 14 years ago, we’ve grown quickly and we are currently sold in all the UK’s supermarkets and grrreat stores across the UK. Now we are taking BEAR around the world and have really ambitious plans for our international growth across Europe, the Middle East and beyond. We are a growing team of 38 people, and moved to our new offices in St Albans in 2021.
What makes us different? We keep things simple - this means only using real ingredients and absolutely no sulphites, concentrates, preservatives, added sugar or added salt. We work directly with all our farmers, meaning we can guarantee the quality and production standards of our snacks are the very highest. We pick ripe fruit when it’s perfectly in season, and bake it at low temperatures to make sure you hang on to the good bits. About the Role

Our consumers are the most important people in the whole wide woods and we need someone who represents BEAR and our values brilliantly and is able to manage the thousands of contacts we receive each week. This is a busy role and we need a brave new Cub that’s ready to jump straight in and get their paws dirty right away.

Key Responsibilities

The Marketing assistant will be the lead consumer champion delivering grrrreat consumer care ensuring that anyone who gets in touch goes away loving us even more than they did before. The job also entails various general responsibilities supporting the marketing team. Main responsibilities include:

- Manage our Urban Fruit social pages, alongside the Urban Fruit brand manager and creative team.
- Manage our company Linked In page with any grrreat company updates and wins. Also work with the HR manager to post any live jobs we have going.
- Answer phone calls from consumers in a lively and engaging ‘BEAR’ or ‘Urban Fruit’ way, dealing with both enquiries and any complaints in a friendly and polite manner.
- Ensure a good relationship with our fulfilment house and make sure all send outs are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Responding to written enquiries and complaints from consumers and cubs, writing in a personal way and ensuring all our loving fans receive a timely response.
- Lead on ‘surprise & delight’ send-outs to our VICs (Very Important Cubs) and other loyal fans at key times of year and as needed.
- Lead on buyer boxes send outs for our sales team and other adhoc requests as needed.
- Manage our Post Bears who ensure all our biggest fans get their Rewards and hand-written responses to their letters in a timely manner.
- Work with our Quality control manager to report and respond on any product-related enquiries and providing the QC manager with monthly reports.
- Manage the weekly contact tracker to monitor our contact and KPIs, flagging concerns and solutions to ensure KPIs are met.
- Produce a monthly Consumer Report for the wider business - summarising consumer highlights and providing useful, relevant updates and business insights to share with the rest of the team.
- Be the face of consumer to the wider business, sharing insights and feedback where relevant and ensuring everyone is aware of the grrreat work being done by the team and how this supports the company objectives.
