At the NHS, we are reminded every day of how important life is. As a flexible working friendly organisation, we want to be sure that you can work in a way that is best for us and for our patients, and for you. Speak to us about how we might be able to accommodate a flexible working arrangement whether that’s job share, part time or another flexible pattern. In addition, although the role advertised may have a ‘home’ office base indicated, we remain committed to supporting flexibility around workplace locations. If it works for the service, we will do our best to make it work for you.
Exciting and innovative developments are taking place in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly CAMHS. Following the learning from our successful pilot, Thriving Together, we are looking to develop a specialist parent/infant relationship team (0-5yrs). Thriving Together has collaborated in a whole system approach to supporting the mental health of parent(s), babies, and young children. The adaptation of the Thrive service delivery model has led to strategic developments taking place across the Local Maternity System, Best Start in Life practitioner’s, Perinatal, Voluntary and Third Sector organisations.
We are looking for enthusiastic, creative, and innovative practitioners. By joining the Thriving Together under 5’s mental health service, you will be part of a transformational process that will improve the outcomes for the most vulnerable families, babies, and children within our county, and contribute to system wide development and change.
This role will provide highly specialised Clinical Psychology service to parents and infants who are experiencing early bonding and attachment difficulties in the context of existing or developing mental health difficulty. The post holder will hold a clinical caseload and manage and process referrals for allocated therapeutic intervention. The post holder will also provide supervision, deliver presentations, and deliver training, to both internal and external stakeholders.
- To achieve our Trust objectives, we prioritise the development of our staff. To support this, the following opportunities are available:_
- Protected CPD time for registered staff
- Access to a dedicated central development fund supporting CPD for all staff
- Leadership and Management development programmes
- Coaching and mentoring opportunities
- A full clinical induction programme for operational skills
- Access to a care certificate programme for our band 1-4 clinical staff
- A bespoke and robust preceptorship programme to support newly qualified staff
- Individual professional development programmes
- Being part of a successful NHS Foundation Trust brings a portfolio of rewards and benefits for our staff. These include:_
- Free access to individual HARP portfolios to support revalidation for nursing staff
- Free DBS checks where required
- Discounts available from retailers, UK hotels and main attractions
- NHS Pension Scheme
- Salary sacrifice car scheme
- Cycle to work scheme
- Childcare vouchers
We are committed to diversity and equality of employment including the employment of current and former service users.

The successful applicant will be an NHS employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable service users.
