Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly recognise the importance of Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) for our community, and Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is investing substantially in our IAPT service to improve care. We are looking for an energetic and passionate IAPT Clinical Lead to contribute to creating an innovative and trailblazing IAPT service, informed by a cutting-edge evidence base. This is a key role within the Psychology/Psychological Services line and an exciting position with the opportunity to consolidate and expand clinical/counselling psychology skills, leadership, service development and management competencies in an IAPT service. The post-holder will be expected to deliver services that are responsive and provide the best value for the population of Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, their family, and their carers.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist Primary Care Mental Health Service to clients with mild to moderate mental health problems. The post holder will have the specialist professional skills, knowledge and experience required to carry a caseload of clients, offering complex psychological formulations, clinical diagnoses, and expert consultancy and advice to patients, families, and professionals. They will undertake service audit and evaluation, propose and implement service development changes within the area served and in keeping with the wider plans and national legislation. They will have a liaison role with all commissioning and provider partners. They will work to develop and manage a service that acts as a specialist resource that is well integrated with other care pathways and related services. The post holder will manage, clinically supervise and work collaboratively with clinical, operational, and administrative colleagues within the service, to offer effective, evidence-based specialist service provision, ensuring that services are high quality and based on best clinical and professional practice.
