Academic Lead Clinical Trials Monitor

In fulfilling its duties as a sponsor of clinical trials, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde Health Board wish to appoint an experienced person as a Clinical trial monitor to provide support to the research teams and to monitor compliance to Good Clinical Practice. As part of the Research and Innovation Governance team, you will report to the Lead monitor and will contribute to the review and update of monitoring procedures, attend trial specific meetings for the governance team, carry out a variety of site visits, be an active part of the monitoring team, review protocol deviations and have the knowledge to identify serious breaches of GCP. It is essential you have experience in clinical trial monitoring/clinical research activity and a Degree (Scientific or Nursing/Allied Health professional). You will have excellent communication skills and show initiative, independent working and judgement. The hours are 37.5hr per week. The post requires travelling to sites and will involve time away from home. The post is permanent.
