_**Summary of Post**_

We are looking for an enthusiastic Employability & Skills Trainer to join our Education & Skills Team to plan and deliver employability workshops for disadvantaged 'In Learning' and NEET, inactive and unemployed young people (11-29) within Sport 4 Life UK.

This dynamic role will include the creation and delivery of employability & life skills based workshops and social action opportunities across a number of different projects to a diverse range of young people.

**Job description**

**Performance & Outcomes**
- To plan and deliver S4L employability workshops inclusive of, but not limited to mock interviews, preparation for interviews, CV writing, venue booking, session planning, and equipment resourcing
- To liaise with external partners to assist the delivery of employability workshops
- To support an intensive outcome-focused offer, addressing barriers to work and supporting YP into sustainable employment, education or training by reporting young people’s progress to S4L Employability Mentors
- To establish and maintain positive and supportive relationships with young people, whilst ensuring workshop capacity targets are achieved
- To contact, communicate and support young people based on S4L Trainer delivery procedures and processes
- Manage your individual budget, ensuring budget lines are managed effectively and used to achieve desired outcomes
- Ensure adherence to all M&E input requirements

**Essential & Desirable Criteria**

**Essential**
- Evidence of CPD in youth education sector
- 1+ year of working with 11-29 year old in learning and NEET young people
- A teaching qualification or relevant degree in and/ or youth education i.e. PTLLS, DTLLS, Information, Advice and Guidance
- A fully enhanced DBS disclosure

**Desirable**
- A relevant Level 3 qualification and/or an Award in teaching i.e. AET, Learning and Development, IAG
- Delivery of employability related services to groups of mixed learners
- Recruiting young people to youth programmes
- Working towards and achieving target based results
- Event organisation and management
- Understand the current trends and issues that young people face
- The ability to prioritise work and effectively manage multiple overlapping projects
- Understanding the differing cultural and economic background of local communities within the West Midlands

**Other**

Location: Midlands Based (dependant upon delivery), with travel to delivery sites and Sport 4 Life offices (Digbeth)

**Number of vacancies**:2 (1 x permanent and 1 x 9 month maternity cover)

Start Date: Immediate

**Salary**: £22,000.00-£24,500.00 per year
