**Position Summary**:
To manage the re-processing production of the site and to be responsible for all production and logistic staff (if required) ensuring that Sterile Service provision complies with current legislation.
- To provide leadership through personal example, promoting sound departmental communication and fostering good interpersonal relationships. provide administrative services to the relevant site to meet the requirements of the company.

**This position is working 1400hrs - 2200hrs - Monday to Friday with expectation of covering on call, weekends and public holidays**

**Duties**:
Responsible for the safe and efficient practices for decontamination, instrument assembly and sterilisation of instruments, consumables and equipment within predefined quality standards.
- Provides direct and effective supervision to ensure timely delivery of clean and / or sterile instrumentation.
- To monitor and maintain a safe working environment. Ensuring that operational activities fully comply with all required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines.
- To utilise and share knowledge across Sterile Service practice underpinned by theoretical knowledge.
- Monitor, Maintain and record all department quality assurance records in accordance with the QMS.
- Responsible for responding to all first line customer service issues via SynergyTrak or verbal communication. Ensuring issues are documented and any actions are completed and closed out in a timely manner. Escalating issues that cannot be resolved locally.
- To oversee instruments coming through the facility having complete traceability and to follow local procedures if traceability is not evident.
- Responsible for the monitoring of inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies, waste prevention and controlling costs
- To proactively monitor, evaluate and ensure that operational activities fully comply with required Health and Safety procedures and guidelines and staff are kept informed and trained on health and safety procedures in the workplace.
- To participate as an integral member of the management team and to actively contribute to suggestions of innovation, continuous improvement and best practice.
- To actively assist and support the Production Manager in the planning and operational process.
- To actively monitor absence levels and liaise with team members for the management of staff absence.
- Undertake in conjunction with the Line Manager, monthly performance reviews and annual appraisals.
- To coach, support and guide team members in line with the principles of Performance Management, setting and reviewing goals, acting as a mentor to the team and identifying training and development needs.
- To ensure the effective communication between senior management and production teams.
- To participate in the on-call management rota to maintain emergency services to designated customers.
- To make judgements involving a range of facts or situations at departmental level, which require analysis or comparison of a range of options.
- To undertake any other duties or tasks as reasonably required.

**Required Experience**:
Experience of managing and supervising staff though the performance management process.

**Preferred Experience**:
Demonstration of understanding and compliance of GMP and QMS.
