**About the Role**

This role will lead on the set up and implementation of the Adult Social Care Transformation and Improvement programme which will be a significant Transformation agenda for the Council, defining and delivering a new operating model for the directorate as a whole including how services are delivered to residents.

This is an 18 month Adult Social Care Assurance and Improvement Lead role working directly to the Programme Director for Adult Social Care Transformation and Improvement. This role will be directly responsible for developing and leading a comprehensive assurance and improvement plan for Adult Social Care that meets the evidence requirements for the CQC inspection of Adult Social Care delivery. This role will lead the overall programme management of a number of strategically important improvement projects and initiatives; and will lead on stakeholder engagement working with officers at all levels of the organisation to support delivery, manage interdependencies, provide assurance and ensure we are delivering our improvement outcomes in line with time, cost and quality measures. The role will also identify opportunities to improve statutory social care delivery and work closely with services to raise standards within quality assurance to confirm that services comply with the Care Act 2014 and other legislation. It will also lead on the monitoring, collating, and updating of a robust evidence base to demonstrate delivery against the CQC key lines of enquiry.
