**Job Description** What the role will entail;**
We are looking for a Nature Based Solutions Design Specialist with proven technical capability to join our water team.

- Role Requirements:_
- Advise the technical lead on nature-based solution projects
- Champion Nature Based Solutions to UK&I Water Clients externally, and AECOM stakeholders internally.
- Mentor Design Engineers to promote their technical and professional development.
- Provide technical input to a team of Design Engineers to complete design aspects of project delivery.
- Carry out the technical checking of work.
- Assist in preparation of proposals to clients.
**Being part of the team;**
The Water team undertake design contracts for municipal, constructor and industrial clients across the UK, Ireland and Europe. Our team of Process Engineers is diverse, and growing to meet the needs of our clients and reflects AECOM’s growth plans over the next 3-5 yrs. This role provides the ability to share experience via AECOM’s Water Academy and Technical Practice Groups with the potential to develop into a Global SME role.

**Qualifications** Here's what we will need from you;**
- Proven technical experience designing nature-based municipal wastewater and Combined Storm Overflow treatment systems for regulatory consented discharges.
- Experience of working with a combination of natural capital, systems, nature-based solutions, infrastructure, resilience, sustainability, social and other related multi-benefit approaches.
- Experience of preparing client proposals, leading on presentations to prospective clients, bidding/tendering for internal and external opportunities.
- Familiar with UK water and environmental regulation
