Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Design Manager to join our team in Exeter, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design function on live water schemes in the South West region, managing and coordinating the design of complex projects from tender stage through to completion.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of water treatment processes and a proven track record of delivering innovative and cost-effective design solutions. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design function on live water schemes, managing and coordinating the design process from tender stage through to completion.
  • Develop and implement innovative design solutions that meet client requirements and ensure best value for all parties.
  • Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Collaborate with the project team to identify and mitigate risks, and develop strategies to improve project outcomes.
  • Produce and monitor KPIs to drive production and efficiency in the design process.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Design Co-ordinator, D&B Coordinator, D&B Manager or Design Manager.
  • Strong understanding of water treatment processes and proven track record of delivering innovative design solutions.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills, with ability to work effectively with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary: £65,000 - £80,000 per annum.
