We are looking for a **PR & Social Media Assistant** to support the delivery of PR and social media campaigns and work in collaboration with key stakeholders and colleagues to align our communications to create a pipeline of content, as well as measuring and evaluating the success of campaigns and activity.

**You will be accountable for**:
- Working closely with senior PR & Social Media Managers to deliver PR and social media content plans. Keeping up to date with key events, national days, media issues and retail news.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to gather updates for PR stories and social media content, ensure accuracy of information and to gather approvals.
- Notifying teams of media enquiries via the PR inbox, circulating urgent requests.
- Researching news releases and developing PR and social media content.
- Supporting in creating briefs for the in-house studio team and lead on small content projects.
- Assisting with the awards strategy; keeping the calendar updated, arranging briefs, submitting entries, managing ceremony requirements and communicating wins internally.
- Assisting on our charity partnership to deliver initiatives.
- Supporting the PR & Social Media Manager in maintaining updates to the KPI dashboard.
- Providing administrative duties, collating press clippings and social media content for reporting purposes, and updating the website news pages.
**To be successful in this role you will require the following**
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience
- Proficiency in all Microsoft office products - Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc
- Previous experience in a PR or social media role
- A passion for communications, PR and social-first campaigns
- Excellent copywriting and proof-reading skills
- Excellent written and spoken English language.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Experience in a communications-related role
- Experience in a large, complex organisation.
- Experience of working cross-functionally and working to tight deadlines.
