**Production Engineer**

£24,000 - £30,000 DOE, Ditchling (own transport essential), Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm, 23 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, parking, staff events

**The Role**

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well-established but growing business within the Visual Engineering sector as a Production Engineer. The Production Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support across multiple areas of the businessfrom mechanical assembly, to print management and testing. This small business will provide a real opportunity for a technically minded person to learn and contribute to a variety of areas of their production process.
- Building and inspecting mechanical assemblies to Engineering drawings
- Electrical/Electronic assembly - soldering, wiring and testing
- Print Management - setting, running and troubleshooting a bespoke flat-bed printer set up
- Stock - maintaining and improving a Kanban system for production
- Projector testing
- Testing and calibrating of finished products

**Requirements**:
The ideal production Engineer will have a HNC equivalent or higher in a primary engineering discipline or time-served experience in an engineering role/environment. The role could suit someone who has just finished their studies in an engineering discipline.The role suits an engineer with a curious mind who as well as having practical skill has an interest and desire as to how products are made and how they work. As a small business you will need to be flexible to wear many hats and in return have the opportunityto learn a variety of skills within a niche sector. You will have some mechanical skills and the ability to assemble products to engineering drawings. An exposure to working with projectors or projection display systems would be advantageous.

**Company Information**

Our client operate in a niche sector designing and manufacturing products used in visual display systems. They have been established for over 10 years and have grown significantly in this time. You'll be working alongside highly experienced engineers intheir field who are keen and willing to impart their extensive knowledge on to new team members. The company provide a fantastic opportunity to learn a new industry and encourage input from their team at all levels. Due to their rural location, own transportis highly desired - the nearest train station is 2 miles (40 minute walk) away and there isn't a footpath all the way.
