Our SME client in the industrial sector is looking to recruit an experienced HR Manager for a newly created hybrid role. Reporting into the Managing Director the role is accountable for an HR Administrator. The purpose of the role is to take responsibilityfor taking the lead role in all people related matters including providing strategic support to the business and operational level support to colleagues across the organisation.
The business is having some major investment and so this is an exciting time to be joining the organisation.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the successful day-to-day management of the HR function and ensuring good practice is in place across the organisation.
- Maintain and update the companies HR policies and practices to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide operational support to other functions across the business (e.g. in employee relation matters).
- Organising and auditing training processes to ensure compliance with both internal and external requirements.
- Maintenance of employee related data.
- Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators, including performance reviews, grievance processes, and absence management and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Provide advice to managers on HR policy and procedures.
- Take the lead and/or provide support in the recruitment process as required from identifying the requirement through to induction.
- Developing a people strategy for the business as a contribution to its longer term goals.
- Maintaining and updating the Employee Handbook as necessary.

**Person Specification**
- Experience of an HR leadership role and a minimum of 5 years' experience in HR role(s)
- A fantastic relationship builder, you will be able to build a culture of trust and confidence with stakeholders across the business.
- Highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Track record of working pro-actively on your own initiative to implement HR best practice.
- Driving licence

In return you will receive a salary of between £45,000-£50,000 (depending on experience).
