We’re recruiting for an Assistant Buyer, B2C to join us. Reporting into the Senior Buyer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring suppliers are delivering stock on time and in full, whilst maintaining safety stocks. The company has significant growth plans, we are therefore looking to build a strong network of key suppliers to support this. You will be a key point of contact for the supplier network and Project Managers and will support the Senior Buyer in building a partnership with strategic suppliers using the right governance and balance scorecard.

You will be based out of the company’s Headquarters in Leeds. Travel to meetings around the Country may be required. You will be responsible for the following:
- Supporting with the management of supplier contracts and SLA’s- Ensuring quality, price and the customer are at the forefront- Ensuring strong internal and external communication across multiple functional stakeholders- Maintaining product and supplier data in the system- Managing inventory to maximise stock availability whilst working within stock targets- Placing purchase orders and ensure timely communication within the business and across any relevant stakeholders- Able to interpret product specifications in order to identify potential products- Identifying any significant change in demand and communicate with stakeholders to review- Working closely with finance to ensure timely payments and resolve any disputes- Having a Continuous Improvement mindset and recommending required processes for effective supplier management- Maintaining the company’s stringent quality levels- Reporting of key KPIs- Support in negotiations and cost saving targets

You’ll have:
- Experience managing supplier relationships as well as internal stakeholders- Excellent IT and communication skills- Ability to work cross functionally as part of a team- Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise- Knowledge of electrical products is beneficial but not essential- Proven experience working within a Buying team
