The role provides an opportunity to learn about all aspects of communications and engagement and the post holder will take on responsibility for small projects as part of their development.

- Support the day-to-day administration of the Communications team to deliver a high quality, responsive service.
- Create compelling content to showcase the story and successes of the Trust across a wide range of platforms including social media, press releases, website, internal channels, award submissions, stakeholder briefings and much more besides
- Support with media enquiries and film crews as requested by the Senior Communications Officer and Communications Manager. The individual must develop the ability to correctly interpret enquiries and respond accordingly.
- Identify potential forward features to send to the press and trade publications to promote new initiatives, examples of best practice and case studies
- To assist in the preparation of material to support campaigns, events (including the annual OSCA awards) and collateral such as the annual report and Quality Account
- Liaise with staff and support the team to come up with a range of solutions that best suit the target audience.
- To represent the Communications team and the organisation at internal and external events such as the Annual Public Meeting and other stakeholder events.
- Form effective relationships with staff at all levels across the organisation as well as with external suppliers such as printers and external designers.
- Must be flexible and able to adapt to different situations.
- Must be self-motivated and able to organise own workload.
- Ability to follow briefs and achieve goals within set timescales.
