A exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Surgical team that oversee the management of elective lists and post operative bed allocation. The Surgical Bed Coordinator is a crucial role in this team that work alongside our clinical and patient flow teams to achieve the best journey for our surgical patients.

To provide daily support to clinical and the patient flow team with the management of surgical bed capacity. The post holder will liaise with the matron covering beds to maximise the beds available and limit the requirement for cancellations

To support the decision making around cancellations on a daily basis

To support Trust wide projects focussing on discharge and patient flow

Musgrove Park Hospital is situated in Taunton, in the middle of Somerset. It has on-site parking and excellent transport links. The bus from town arrives every 12 mins and there are two Park and Rides which drop off at the hospital. It is close to the M5 which gives easy access to Bristol and Exeter.
