**The Position**

Reporting to the Director, Medical Affairs - UK & ROI, the Medical Affairs Advisor will work cross-functionally to support the development and execution of BIAL’s medical strategy and tactics, and ensure they reflect the needs of the UK market aligned to the brand strategy in line with the medical budget.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Design and execute an annual medical plan for specific products in alignment with other BIAL departments (Commercial, Marketing, Market Access, Global Medical Affairs);
- Work closely with other BIAL departments to shape and influence strategies, plans and tactics and ensure they reflect the needs of the UK & Ireland affiliate as well as the needs of the NHS;
- Conduct the scientific review of promotional materials, assuring compliance with product's SPC, legal and ABPI framework, and act as a Final Medical Signatory where appropriate;
- Provide scientific training to MSLs, Key Account Managers and other colleagues, ensuring that accurate scientific information is strategically disseminated by all external-facing functions;
- Be responsible for planning and conducting regional and national medical education events;
- Collaborate in real-world evidence collection and global clinical studies as needed and identify opportunities to generate real‐world‐evidence data and publications;
- Collaborate with Experts and Patient Advocacy Groups to understand their needs and maximize the impact of planned medical initiatives;
- Represent BIAL at national and international scientific conferences, as required;
- Provide medical support to Regulatory and Market Access departments during submission or review of product dossiers and reimbursement discussions;
- Keep up to date and critically evaluate literature, interpret complex data, and adapt delivery of information to a variety of audiences;
- Collect and notify Pharmacovigilance on adverse events;
- Provide timely and relevant response to medical enquiries from Healthcare Professionals or general public (medical information);
- Ensure compliance of all applicable laws, industry codes, regulations and BIAL’s code of Ethics;
- Comply with the Quality, Environment, R&D and Health and Safety policies as well as other procedures or related guidelines.

**Education and Qualifications**
- GMC registered physician or GPhC registered pharmacist;
- Previous experience as a Final Medical Signatory (ideally) or willingness to be trained as a Final Medical Signatory.

**Experience**
- 1-3 years of experience in similar roles;
- Therapy area expertise in Neurology (preferred);
- Experience working on cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams.

**Skills and Abilities**
- Fluency in English (written and spoken);
- Solid computer and digital skills;
- Excellent influencing and communication skills and capability of enhancing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Entrepreneurial mindset and can-do mentality;
- Availability to travel.

**Location**
- Office-based position in Windsor, UK;
- Hybrid workplace model (onsite work three days per week / home office two days per week).
