We are looking for a passionate **Service Manager** with an interest in **horticulture** to manage our **Laleham & Portsmouth** service teams. Covering new installs, ongoing maintenance, seasonal replants, and Christmas operations.
You will support the Head of Exterior by managing our operations team to ensure they are highly motivated, well trained, productive, and efficient.

**The ideal Service Manager for phs Greenleaf will have the following;**:

- Management experience
- An passion or interest in Grounds maintenance or horticulture
- In depth understanding of legislation
- Well-developed analytical skills combined with the ability to influence and drive outcome
- IOSH qualification or similar
- High level of commitment and ability to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with individuals and groups, both orally and in writing
- The ability to challenge existing practices and put forward different methods of working to improve customer service or commerciality
- Creative approach to problem solving

**A day in the life of a Service Manager will involve;**:

- Ensuring excellent customer service by constantly monitoring quality and improving working methods.
- Maximising the productivity and the efficiency of the business whilst retaining quality of service and continually seeking to improve performance.
- Monitoring daily operational performance through comprehensive KPI reporting.
- Overseeing completion of all new installation work, ensuring customers’ specifications are met within budget.
- Ensuring quality audits are planned at the beginning of each year and that all technicians and sub contractor’s quality of work is audited in line with company procedures. And documented for discussion with clients and technicians.
- Customer specific replant and removal plans prior to the commencement of each replant season within agreed timeframes, for exterior and Christmas installations.
- Review route density and amend as required to maximise productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain the service fleet in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and the Company Transport Policy.
- Completeing all recruitment, induction, motivation, performance management and training of Southern Service Technicians.
- Dealing with customer cases or complaints and ensuring action is taken to prevent repetition.

Each tree is available in a wide range of sizes - from a standard 7ft tree to as high as 30ft tall alongside the 3ft tabletop tree, decorative wreaths, garlands and floralarrangements.
