Our people work differently depending on their jobs and needs. From hybrid working to flexible hours, we have plenty of options that help our people to thrive.

This role is based in the United Kingdom and as such all normal working days must be carried out in the United Kingdom.

Join us as our Head of Programme Office, Consumer Duty Programme
- We're delivering one of the largest conduct and regulatory change initiatives in banking in over a decade and are looking for someone to run the programme office to meet our internal One Bank and external FCA commitments
- Working in the Consumer Duty programme, you'll provide the oversight, challenge and support for project activities across multiple bank franchises and functions
- This is a role where you can explore your leadership potential and work in an area with our purpose and customers at its heart

**What you’ll do**:
Collaborating with senior stakeholders, you'll be in a central programme office role and support the consumer duty programme to deliver our strategy and help our customers to succeed. You'll also develop the Programme Office team and ensure our initiatives meet our ambitions to deliver great customer outcomes.

In addition, you'll collaborate with senior stakeholders and programme managers to define and implement the portfolio's or programme's governance framework and control framework by using our change framework.

Alongside this, you’ll be:

- Supporting business area change leads on the planning that's required to deliver our consumer duty outcomes
- Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with senior managers, the programme and project teams and any third-party service providers
- Delivering an ongoing health check of the portfolio and programme to make sure that the programme and projects continue to meet our overall strategic objectives
- Acting as the owner of the programme and project frameworks, templates and change methodologies so they continue to incorporate best practices and are fit for purpose
- Providing secretariat activities for the Executive Steering Group and delivery and investment boards, including executive and portfolio reporting and MI, to adhere to co-corporate governance

**The skills you’ll need**:
To be successful in this role, you'll have a background in a programme office management or project management role, knowledge of major programme delivery and hold a relevant project management qualification, such as Prince 2, Agile or Scrum.

Not only will you have an understanding of tools like Planview, Oracle, SharePoint and Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, but you’ll have knowledge of the change, processes, procedures and risk frameworks. Finance services or retail banking experience would be advantageous.

Furthermore, you’ll need:

- Experience of treating customers fairly while maintaining the appropriate levels of risk
- Knowledge of how to sustain an optimum headcount across a business
- An understanding of how to chair senior business committees and panels
- To be an analytical and creative problem-solver and know how to influence senior stakeholders in banking group situations
