**Full time**

**Bristol**

**Why Rolls-Royce?**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Programme Lead to join the team based in Bristol supporting the Strategic Operations team on the development and execution of the footprint and capability strategy. The role will support the introduction of new capability and technology, creating a platform for growth through alignment for Future Programmes.

As our successful Programme Lead your main accountabilities will ensure you have the necessary authority, accountability (including budget control), and responsibility for delivering an agreed group of Control Accounts and ensuring that they meet schedule, specification and business case requirements dependent on the stage of the programme.

At Rolls-Royce, we pioneer the power that matters to our customers, to society and to the planet.

Work with us and we’ll welcome you into an inclusive culture, one that invests in your continuous learning and development, and gives you access to a wide breadth and depth of experience.

We offer excellent development, a competitive salary and exceptional benefits. These include bonus, employee support assistance and employee discounts.

Your needs are as unique as you are. So we encourage flexible working arrangements wherever possible, so you can always be at your best - wherever and whenever you work.

You will plan and execute the Control Account work. Establish a specification for the work and agree resources (both human and physical) necessary to meet the Control Account requirements with the Resource Managers.

You will develop the plan for the Control Accounts including risk mitigation and instruct release of budget to authorise the starting and stopping of all works.

You will review progress against plans to identify when corrective action is required. You will agree and initiate the necessary changes, including re-allocation of resources within the owned Control Accounts with agreement from the Resource Manager.

Additionally, you will act as the focal point for all aspects related to the Control Accounts and provide the Programme/Project Manager with information necessary to manage effectively. You will also support the Programme Manager in the creation, development, and establishment of the business plan necessary to deliver the programme.

In addition, you will also be required to help the Programme Manager establish, develop, and maintain the work breakdown structure necessary to deliver the programme. And implement project management best practice for delivery of all work.

The Programme Lead role is the ideal opportunity for an individual looking to kick start or progress their Project Management capability within an environment that operates under the APM Model.

**What you will be doing**:

- To establish a specification for the work and agree the resources (both human and physical) necessary to meet the Control Account requirements with the Resource Managers for those resources. To gain commitment for the necessary resources from the Resource Manager.
- To develop the plan for the Control Accounts including risk mitigation and instruct release of budget to authorise the starting and stopping of all work
- To review progress against plans, to identify when corrective action is required. To agree and initiate the necessary changes, including re-allocation of resources within the owned Control Accounts with agreement from the Resource Manager

- To help the Programme Manager establish, develop, and maintain the work breakdown structure necessary to deliver the programme.
- To implement project management best practice for delivery of all work.

**Who we’re looking for**:
There are multiple roles. Each will have a different focus from the following:

- Risk Management and Mitigation Planning across the programme throughout the project lifecycle.
- Cost commitment and spend planning and delivery of cross functional cost targets across the programme throughout the project lifecycle. Experience running Earned Value Management cost plans is therefore beneficial.
