About the Team

The media team is made up of editorial, production and sales staff and is responsible for the delivery of the GSMA’s media brand, Mobile World Live. Mobile World Live is the world’s number one B2B news portal covering the mobile technology sector. The editorial team makes up the biggest group with editorial staff based in London, Hong Kong and the US.

- “The reporter role is an integral part of the GSMA’s fast-growing Mobile World Live team, responsible for such editorial services as the Mobile World Live Daily e-newsletter, weekly e-newsletters and the GSMA’s MWC Show Daily newspapers. In addition, the division produces Mobile World Live TV, the award-winning official broadcast service of MWC, and produces customised research content such as webinars, surveys, whitepapers and reports. The role will require the need to stay abreast of industry developments, enabling the individual to build a profile across the industry and amongst peers. It is an exciting opportunity for a technology journalist to be part of this highly successful media outfit with editorial staff spanning three global locations.”_

About the Role- Editorial duties for the daily industry e-newsletter; news content creation, blog and analysis report writing, production and proofing- Editorial duties for weekly newsletters; news content creation, feature interviews and proofing- On-camera presenting (interviewing, feature production) and Podcast participation- Assisting in the production and onsite delivery of the MWC Show Daily publication in Barcelona, as well as reporting from internal and external industry events- Hands-on creative input into the growth and development of the publishing operation - including content production (eg interviews/case studies) for client projects

About You- Experience in an Editorial, Research, Analyst or Marcomms role within the telecoms industry- A sound understanding of the mobile telecommunications sector- The ability to write about technical issues in a clear and concise fashion across a range of copy (news, features, interviews, analysis, case studies)- Live event reporting experience- The ability to work under pressure on multiple projects and produce high quality products to deadline- A flexible and adaptive approach to work- Confidence to learn - and become proficient in - marketing automation platforms (eg Salesforce Marketing Cloud)- Proactivity and considerable drive and initiative- First class communication skills- Confidence to appear on camera/audio platforms (training can be provided)
