The Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College is seeking a Communications Support and Departmental Administrator to be a part of their team.

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the Department's communications strategy, managing website and social media content, promoting research activities, and organising events. **Duties and responsibilities**:
As a Communications Support and Departmental Administrator, your duties and responsibilities will include:

- Assisting the Communications Committee and collaborating with the Faculty Communications team to ensure digital communications are aligned.
- Supporting CEP staff in promoting their research activities and impact.
- Managing and updating the department's website and social media channels, ensuring all content is up-to-date and in line with college policies.
- Optimizing digital content for search and accessibility.
- Monitoring website and social media metrics using analytics tools and implementing improvements.
- Preparing material for newsletters, displays, and other marketing materials.
- Ensuring all communications are GDPR and copyright compliant.
- Developing alumni relations in collaboration with the CEP Teaching Office.
- Organising, delivering, and promoting various events.
- Acting as the Health and Safety Coordinator for the department.
- Coordinating IT and facilities issues, and maintaining an inventory of computer equipment.
- Assisting with the induction process for new staff.
- Arranging temporary staff cover and managing paperwork for temporary and casual workers.
- Handling office tasks such as raising purchase orders, processing expenses, booking travel, preparing agendas, and taking minutes at meetings.
- Complying with relevant College policies and regulations.

**Essential requirements**:
The essential requirements include:

- An appropriate academic qualification or equivalent vocational qualification and experience in a similar role.
- Substantial experience in office-based administration and support services, preferably within higher education or a similar large organisation.
- Experience using content management systems and overseeing web content.
- Experience in delivering communications for a variety of audiences.
- Working knowledge of computer-based procedures and software packages, including Microsoft Office.
- Experience in maintaining website content and social media.
- Experience in maintaining databases and spreadsheets.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to individuals from diverse backgrounds and at all levels within an organization.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Good time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in routine tasks.

This is a full time, open-ended position based at South Kensington Campus.
- Hybrid working may be considered for this role. Staff working in roles that are suitable for hybrid working will normally be expected to work 60% of their time onsite. The opportunity for hybrid working will be discussed at interview._
