**About the Strategic Business Development Manager**
My client is a fast-growth Fintech in the Payments space who have recently secured £300m to continue their expansion so this is an exciting time to join the business. They are backed by some of the UKs top investors and service over 500 of the UKs most successfuland growing retail companies.
They have won multiple awards including No.3 in the Deloitte Fast 50, Prolific North Tech Awards Fintech Company of the Year 2020 and Tech Growth Business of the Year Awards 2020.
**As the Strategic Business Development Manager your responsibilities and duties will include**:
- You will be responsible for the build of the enterprise customer portfolio by driving sales activities with large scale retailers in the UK
- Build a strong network and become a trusted advisor potential clients through demo’ing platform, building credibility and finding synergy’s with their needs
- Work directly with customers, sales teams, sales leaders, services/support teams, and leadership teams to advise on deal structures and close customer issues.
- Manage longer deal cycle 6-12 months, being able to build and maintain strong relationships with C- Suite members along the way
- Lead workshops and work collaboratively with key customers to identify customer needs and match them with the offering throughout their lifecycle
- Work closely with onboarding team to ensure successful sign up
- Support Head of Sales and CEO in strategizing a target list of potential customers and plan how to bring on board
- Network within the retailer ecosystem to grow my clients’ brand
**Essential Skills and Competencies of the Strategic Business Development Manager are**:
- Experience within strategic or enterprise sales across Tech, Payments, Fintech or financial services ecosystem
- Confident with full 360 sales cycle from prospect, relationship building, demonstrating and contract negotiation with large organisations
- Proven experience managing longer deal cycle’s 6-12 months
- Ability to work in fast paced scale up environment which will change and develop
- Proactive mindset to create opportunity for you and the company
- Consultative individual with strong communication skills and can build credibility at C- Suite level
- Previous experience demo’ing tech platforms to assist the sales cycle
