Do you have good DIY including joinery experience, are you a reliable individual? If so we are looking for you

As Head of Maintenance at Anderson’s care home, you'll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home, feel safe and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support. You will also be tasked with ensuring security is maintained and scheduled checks are conducted throughout the home. You will ensure that quality is maintained by using a combination of appropriately accredited tradesmen together with company porter.
- Knowledge of basic hand/power tool operation
- Basic understanding of HVAC electrical plumbing and carpentry concepts
- Experience with PAT testing
- Carry out/assist with delivery of fire training/Fire Drills
- Able to complete relevant timesheet/worksheet documentation
- Good communication skills
- Good fitness level

This position will involve liaising with the Board of Trustees and attending the Property and Maintenance committee meetings, which will involve giving an update on any property maintenance that is needed or what has been carried out since the previous meeting.

You must be able to work on your own initiative.

**Average hours of work will be 33 per week, which will be worked on a 2-week rota. Hours worked during the week will be 8.30 am to 4:30 pm with 30-minute lunch break, and every second Saturday from 8 am to 10 am.**
