**The role**
As a Credit Controller, you will work within a busy Finance team, reporting into the Credit Control Team Leader. The primary purpose of this role is to successfully manage the payment process, via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), for one of our largest retail clients with a contract value of ten million pounds.
You will be solely responsible for this client, playing a pivotal role in guaranteeing it is effectively managed from a finance perspective. This role involves a high volume of data and Microsoft Excel work, therefore demonstrating you have an analytical and data led focus will be vital to your success.
**Your responsibilities as a Credit Controller will be**:
- To ensure that all Advanced Shipping Notices and invoices are transmitted successfully via EDI.
- Investigate any EDI failures daily and resolving them to meet strict time parameters.
- Account reconciliations to ensure all documents are actioned.
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve any issues and queries regarding the account.
- Be responsible for improving processes and implementing streamlining enhancements.
- To successfully resolve queries raised by the customer, effectively and within a timely manner, ensuring all payments are collected to agreed terms.
**About you**
- You will ideally have worked within a finance role and worked with large volumes of data management
- It would also be beneficial if you have previously worked in a Credit Control position but this is not an essential requirement
- You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and have a naturally data led focus.
- An interest in Electronic Invoicing would be desirable but not essential.
- You will have a pro-active attitude towards work with excellent attention to detail.
- You will thrive within a busy working environment where you are regularly working to exact deadlines.
- Confidently prioritise your workload with the ability to adapt to conflicting deadlines.
