Accounting Assistant

JHE & Partners are delighted to be working with a local Bradford manufacturer, who are looking to recruit an accounts assistant on a permanent basis, due to a retirement in the team. Working closely with the company accountant, this is a role that will oversee all transactional duties within the business as well as supporting the accountant with various reporting.
You will be conscientious, happy to take ownership of tasks and work autonomously when required. This is a busy role and requires someone with good transactional finance experience to oversee the ledgers coupled with general admin finance duties.
Duties include:
- Matching, batching and coding purchase invoices
- Dealing with queries
- Weekly and monthly payment runs
- Statement reconciliations
- Bank reconciliations
- Processing credit card entries on to Sage
- Posting cash to the sales ledger
- Credit Control
- Reconciling the self-billing account
- Daily banking in GBP, USD and EUR
- Assisting with monthly reporting and analysis with the accountant
- All work carried out on Sage and Excel
This is a great role working with a knowledgeable and supportive accountant. Ideally you will have 5 years finance experience to be considered for the role. Hours are 37.5 per week with a salary paying up to £27k.
**Salary**: £26,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
