Accounts Assistant

The Bset Connection are currently seeking a Accounting Assistant for a Manufacturer and distributing Company in the Bradford (BD5) area.
Hours of Work Mon to Fri 0800
- **Responsibilities of the Accounting Assistant**
- Dealing with all supplier account queries and keeping the ledgers reconciled and tidy.
- Filing/retrieval of information
- Inputting purchase invoices and credit notes on bespoke computerised Purchase Ledger, also checking delivery notes against invoices.
- Chase missing receipts and delivery notes and deal with any outstanding discrepancies.
- Print bank statements for all companies and post cash making sure the cashbook and bank account reconcile each day/month.
- Print and send bank statements to credit control for customer cash allocations.
- Chase missing invoices for the month end and ensure all the ledgers are reconciled.
- Post and reconcile credit card transactions for month end.
- Preparing and posting weekly wages journals.
- Monthly balance sheets reconciliations.
- Quarterly VAT returns.
- Budget variance analysis.
- Updating Fixed asset register
- Assisting the finance manager with the preparation of the monthly MI Pack.
**Requirements of the Accounting Assistant**
- Attention to detail.
- Good numeracy skills.
- Good accuracy and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to target.
- PC literate.
**Benefits & Requirements**:
