We are seeking a talented and passionate Modern Brunch Chef to join our dynamic team at Brew. As a trendy cafe that prides itself on innovative and flavourful brunch dishes, we are looking for a creative chef or cook to elevate our brunch menu. If you have a flair for modern brunch cuisine, a keen eye for detail, and a dedication to exceptional food quality, we want to hear from you

**Responsibilities**:
Menu Creation: Collaborate with the cafe management team to design and update a modern brunch menu that showcases innovative and on-trend dishes while retaining classic favorites with unique twists.

Food Preparation: Skillfully prepare and cook a variety of brunch items, including but not limited to, artisanal toasts, creative egg dishes, gourmet pancakes, waffles, and seasonal specialties.

Culinary Excellence: Demonstrate culinary expertise and creativity by infusing the menu with bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and visually appealing presentations.

Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standards of taste, texture, and appearance, while adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations.

Ingredient Sourcing: Collaborate with local suppliers to source high-quality, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients, reflecting our commitment to supporting the community and delivering fresh fare.

Time Management: Efficiently manage kitchen operations during busy brunch service, ensuring smooth execution and timely delivery of orders.

Kitchen Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked kitchen, following proper storage procedures to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team, servers, and management to foster a positive and communicative working environment that promotes collaboration and teamwork.

Customer Engagement: Interact with customers when appropriate, obtaining feedback, and accommodating special requests or dietary preferences to create an exceptional dining experience.

Trends and Innovation: Stay abreast of current food trends and incorporate them into the brunch menu regularly to keep the offerings fresh and exciting for our valued patrons.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Brunch Chef or similar role, with a strong background in modern brunch cuisine and creative menu development.
- In-depth knowledge of brunch ingredients, preparation techniques, and food trends.
- Demonstrated passion for culinary arts and dedication to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the kitchen team and cafe staff.
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays, as brunch service is a key focus for our cafe.

This is an ideal opportunity for a cook or chef that wants a daytime and more relaxed job role with a focus on creativity. We are looking for someone who is comfortable being front of house as well as back.

**Salary**: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- 37 eddington avenue cambridge: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Chef: 1 year (preferred)
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
- Kitchen experience: 1 year (preferred)
