**Job Purpose**
To deliver Postgraduate Taught Programmes (PGT) in the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences (MVLS) and contribute to the redevelopment of the current provision and co-ordination and delivery of academic content. To teach and to actively contribute to the knowledge, understanding and skills of postgraduate students in the College of MVLS. Work within a team to ensure academic
delivery in this area and to contribute as required to the general academic administrative duties of PGT programmes. To liaise with academic colleagues within MVLS and University-wide, to develop a vibrant and attractive PGT portfolio providing excellent training and student experience at postgraduate level.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
1. Work with clusters of programmes to contribute to the re-development of programme plans and implement the development and co-ordination of new academic content.
2. Contribute to course creation, development and delivery, including tutoring support, within the programmes. Working with teams of academics and in coordination with the PGT administrative team as required.
3. Support the development of creative and innovative approaches to teaching and learning, in accordance with the University’s Quality Enhancement Strategy, so that the educational opportunities available to students are maintained at the University’s high standards. Contribute to the design and coordinate the implementation of new teaching and learning approaches.
7. Provide effective, timely and appropriate feedback to students to support their learning; and to ensure that appropriate structures are built into the programme to ensure a consistent approach from all contributors.
8. Provide support to colleagues to aid development of teaching and contribute to the ongoing development and design of the current PGT programmes run by the College of MVLS.
9. Work with colleagues in other areas of the University to provide consistent teaching, assessment, and feedback across our PGT programmes.
10. Participate in recruitment and conversion, induction, and orientation activities as appropriate.
11. Undertake other PGT related duties as requested by the Dean of Postgraduate Teaching or delegate.

13. Participate in the performance and development review processes, as appropriate, in accordance with University strategy.

This post will be part of a team of multidisciplinary teaching staff and the successful applicant must be able to teach on programmes where there is a gap in current teaching provision.

**Terms and Conditions**
Salary will be Grade 6/7, £31,502 - £35,308/£38,474 - £43,155 per annum.
This post is full time and fixed term until 31 July 2026.
