About the Role

Glasgow Kelvin College is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Fixed Term Teaching Fellow in Automotive Studies. This is a temporary position that will provide an opportunity to teach and support students in a wide range of Automotive courses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Assessment: Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment to students in Automotive courses, including Access, NQ, Skills for Work, City&Guilds, and IMI motor vehicle mechanics.
  • Quality and Standards: Contribute to the development of curriculum delivery and ensure that teaching and assessment meet the highest standards.
  • Continuing Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and skills in mechanics (automotive): Possess a strong understanding of automotive mechanics and be able to provide engaging and inclusive learning opportunities.
  • Ability to provide flexible and innovative approaches to teaching: Be able to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students and contribute to the development of curriculum delivery.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including students, colleagues, and industry partners.
