**Job description**:

- The Matrix is one of 5 Shared Service Clusters, and a core part of a collection of central programmes which will deliver the collective “one” civil service ambition, driving modernisation, productivity improvements and reform outcomes to rationalise and harmonise 24 ministerial departments’ “back office” operations. These programmes collectively will reduce cost, time and enable the Civil Service to operate as “one” through interoperability, sharing of common services, systems and data.
- The Matrix will see departments and a number of their Arms Length Bodies consolidate at least nine individually configured technology solutions service, Finance, HR, Payroll and Purchase to Pay, replacing legacy technologies for four departments; and move from nine different service catalogues and providers into a single shared service and single technology solution, resolving over 390 common pain point for specific corporate service user groups.
- The Matrix comprises:

- Departments forming the Matrix Programme: Cabinet Office (CO), Department for Science Innovation and Technology (DSIT), Department for Culture Media and Sport (DCMS), Department for Business Trade (DBT), Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), Department for Education (DfE), Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC), Attorney’s General Office (AGO) and His Majesty's Treasury (HMT).
- The delivery of business change and engagement represents a core deliverable and mechanism for ensuring the readiness and adoption of new ways of working for the shared operating model for all departments, and critical to achieving the strategic outcomes for the Programme.**Person specification**:

- Supporting the development and delivery of the Matrix engagement strategy and plan, suitable for the changing phases and swift pace of the Programme timeline.
- Proactively supporting the work-streams within the Programme and crafting powerful material that effectively communicates the Matrix's story, value proposition and key messages to target audiences.
- Coordinating a network of Communication & Engagement Leads from across all the Department
