**Salary: £25,500 per annum, pro rata**

**Location: Glasgow, South Lanarkshire**

**Contract/Hours: Fixed Term contract for 14 months / Part Time - 18.5 hours per week - this will likely consist of 1 day of delivery and 1 and a half days of coordination.**

**A bit about the role**

1 in 10 children in every classroom suffer from a diagnosable mental health disorder. The Blues is an evidenced based CBT influenced programme to support the reduction of depression in young people using an early intervention model.

You'll work as part of a wider team to deliver the provision of the Blues programme. You'll promote and improve the mental health, emotional resilience and wellbeing of children and young people in secondary schools who are negatively affected or are at risk of being affected by poor mental health. You'll be able to effectively engage with young people to deliver group work support, predominantly within a school setting but there may also be a requirement in a local community.

As a Service Coordinator, you'll take lead in the co-ordination of group work across the high schools in Glasgow. This will involve interactions with key stakeholders in Glasgow schools as well as the wider Action for children team. Your role will also involve the supporting and development of members of the Blues team.

**How you'll help to create brighter futures**

Some key responsibilities for the role are;
- Provide a high quality service to children, young people and their families, based on an assessment of need and is outcomes driven.
- Deliver a complex and specialist interventions with children, young people or families in a group setting.
- Provide lead case/care planning management, including undertaking assessing, reviewing and managing risks
- Attend and participate at relevant multi agency meetings, providing a lead role ensuring reflective and analytical practice review
- Take responsibility for day to day resource planning to ensure high quality services are delivered.
- Establish and developing effective relationships and channels of communication with children, young people, families, colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies and other external agencies.

**Let's talk about you**
- SVQ4/HNC or equivalent in youth work, working with families, childcare or another relevant field.
- Experience of managing and leading a team.
- Advanced experience of chairing, supporting and contributing to service planning meetings.
- Experience of the development and practice of community working, including influencing involvement.
- Ability to lead and develop service implementation plan.
- Experience of supporting the collation and producing of reports, capturing and progressing the relevant information for a desired outcome.
- Travel in the community for this role is essential so use of your own transport is desirable.
