**Role Description**
The role of our Chief Financial Officer is suited to an ambitious senior finance professional, with experience in manufacturing, who is looking to take on the duality of being a strategic advisor to the CEO, alongside operational elements of Finance and HR.
Key Responsibilities:

- Being the strategic partner to the CEO in the identification and execution of business initiatives that drive financial improvement, organisational effectiveness, and growth.
- Preparing and presenting business cases to stakeholders, to ensure profitable growth across markets.
- Manage and develop teams in Finance and HR.
- Developing a best-in-class reporting structure.
- Ensuring effective monthly reporting, budgeting, and financial planning.
- Articulating the financial performance of the business and presenting recommendations to stakeholders.
- Ensuring best-in-class financial control, establishing indicators for future success.
- Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and relevance of financial reporting and ensuring compliance with all relevant reporting standards and Group policies and requirements.
- Responsibility for internal and external Audits.
- Responsibility for company taxation matters (compliance and planning) and liaison with advisors.
- Co-ordination contact for UK Group taxation matters.
- Board responsibility for HR matters.
- Travel between sites across the UK as required.

**Experience, Skills, Attributes**:

- Experience within the FMCG industry, including manufacturing, sales, and distribution.
- Strong corporate finance and commercial business acumen.
- Experience of business partnering and acquisition.
- Experience within a fast-growing company of a similar scope.
- Excellent strategic and analytical skills to serve as a true partner for the CEO.
- Strong commercial awareness; able to fully understand the drivers for business performance, ideally within the food manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience leading a business that has undertaken significant and rapid growth, especially through acquisitions.
- Experience with project management and building new, professional structures.
- Strong communication skills and endorsement of company values.
- Ability to build long-lasting relationships and be influential at all levels.
- Service oriented, viewing finance as a partner that enables the business to deliver.
- People management experience from having managed a team of different levels and capabilities.
- Ability to challenge conventional methodology and deliver new ways of working in a culture of continuous improvement.
