**Job Summary**

Based in Andoversford, Astor-Bannerman manufactures, supplies, installs and services specialist bathing and lifting systems for the disabled and elderly. We have a 30-year track record as a market leader in our field and we have the ambition to grow.

**Key Duties**

Working within the technical support team you will:

- Assist field service engineers during on-site visits offering technical support and guidance as needed.
- Provide prompt and effective diagnosis of technical issues.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of part numbers, ensuring efficient inventory management.
- Collaborate with field service engineers, production, and R&D to assist in developing solutions for recurring technical issues.
- Learn and develop skills related to fault finding under the guidance of senior technicians and team members

You will be trained on:

- Product Knowledge
- Training will encompass a thorough understanding of the company’s products.
- Troubleshooting techniques
- Training to learn various methods to systematically identify and resolve technical issues.
- Repair and maintenance procedures
- Hands-on training will cover disassembly, replace of parts and repair procedures to company standards and safety protocols
- Handling part requests and quoting for replacement parts.
- Raising repair calls, warrants parts orders and the returns of warranty parts.

You already need to have the following:

- Previous experience in a technical support role is preferred but not required.
- Strong problem solving and ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Good basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Degree or equivalent qualification, technical certification or relevant experience is preferred.
- An interest in mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Good computer literacy.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
