Lincolnshire, United Kingdom Lincolnshire County Council Full time

Lincolnshire councils, including Lincolnshire County Council are seeking a lead on the healthy and accessible homes (housing) agenda to support the partnerships feeding into the Housing, Health and Care Delivery Group.

Boston Borough Council, East Lindsey District Council and South Holland District Council are working together as the South East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership with a single workforce. As Councils we are going through an exciting period of transformation.

Although this post is being hosted by Boston Borough Council (as part of the South and East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership), there would be mínimal requirement to be present in the town. There would be the opportunity to work from home as well as from other Lincolnshire district council and County Council offices by arrangement.

We’re becoming agile, innovative and commercial organisations underpinned by a healthy, people centred, collaborative culture. We believe work should be enjoyable, challenging and rewarding. We work hard to create an environment in which our teams are supported to achieve their potential. We aim to continually improve the services provided to local people as part of our commitment to improve the quality of their lives and the environment we all live in and enjoy. Working for us, you can make an important contribution to that aim.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Strategic Lead for Healthy and Accessible Homes in Lincolnshire to join our team. This posotion has been funded by all Lincolnshire Councils and is being hosted by Boston Borough Council. Good quality, safe, affordable housing that meets the needs of those living in it is a key determinant of health and wellbeing. Partners across the housing, health and care system in Lincolnshire are working together to ensure that where appropriate, people are empowered to live independently at home.

You will have a strong emphasis on insight and evidence to guide planning, delivery and evaluation of evidence-based solutions and interventions. Working closely with relevant teams, you will create effective partnerships and connections at a local, regional, and national level. Leadership, collaboration, communication and an ability to use insight and evidence to influence delivery through strong and effective relationships is key. You will need to be dynamic to respond to changing national policy and will need to bring partners together in a strategic and coherent way to drive change.

Essential criteria:

- Educated to degree level or have significant relevant experience
- Up to date knowledge of the relevant legislation and guidance relating to housing grants, the Better Care agenda, and health and social care.
- Understanding of organisational structures within a two-tier local authority area and appreciation of different political and democratic environments

We offer excellent terms and conditions of employment including a Local Government pension scheme. We also offer a wide range of family friendly policies designed to enable you to balance your work and home life, manage your personal responsibilities and support you in times of difficulty.

Please note the official job title is Lincolnshire Strategic Lead: Healthy and Accessible Homes.
