**The role**:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Tax & Trusts Advisor to join an established Wealth Preservation team of a Top 200 law firm.

You will assist with the trust accounting, Tax Returns, compliance and annual administration process for a client allocation and deal with technical and administrative issues.

Your duties will include:

- Preparing Trust & Estate Self-Assessment Tax Returns and personal Tax Returns using the firm's software (CCH), for review by a senior member of staff.
- Managing all related correspondence with clients, HMRC and third parties as required.
- Monitoring deadlines on Trusts and Estates such as ten yearly charges and beneficial entitlements.
- Managing the completion of personal tax returns for a range of HNW clients.
- Assisting the Probate division in dealing with tax affairs to date of death, Estate Returns and preparation of complex estate accounts.
- Completing of Inheritance Tax returns for Trusts and Estates, for review by a senior member of staff.
- Preparing ad hoc advisory work, such as advising on Trust distributions, for review by a senior member of staff.
- Dealing with the day-to-day administration on client files, including filing Trust and Estate tax returns and diarising & arranging payment of tax liabilities by due dates and considering how the liabilities will be paid.
- Diarising trust events such as income distributions and rent demands.
- Generating invoices for periodic bills.
- Providing support in dealing with telephone calls, client meetings, engagement letters and general office administration

**Must haves**:

- Able to prioritise & meet deadlines
- Good written communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Highly numerate
- Understanding of the tax position of all trust structures and estates
- Experience of personal income tax compliance and planning
- Capital Gains Tax compliance and planning as well as Trust and Estates accounting and taxation
- Willing to learn our client databases including CCH

**Salary**:
£40,000 - £55,000 pa
