**Financial Markets Trade Support, WIB (London & New York)**

We are Australia’s first bank and oldest company, and one of four major banking organisations in Australia. This opportunity sits in our London branch working for Westpac Institutional Bank, the division of Westpac that services the needs of corporate, institutional, and governmental clients.

**How will I help?**

This role is be based in London and created to support the London and New York Westpac Financial Markets Front Office teams - Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) Trading, Corporate and Institutional (C&I) Sales. This role will cover all asset classes - FX, Bonds & Interest Rate Derivatives.

Lifecycle processing in the risk management systems such as allocations and novation’s processing for Bonds and Interest rate Derivatives.

Post execution product system (Murex/Calypso) amendments resulting from STP errors or minor booking errors.

Trade bookings of agreed models such as dual booking or internal trade tickets including the entry of Sales Markitwire tickets on behalf of Sales.

Clearing and monitoring of Markitwire queues to ensure timely clearance of any breaks.

First point of contact for queries from internal teams such as Settlements, Confirmation, Finance and Reconciliation Teams as well as following through to ensure the timely resolution of any breaks across asset classes.

Resolution of IT issues affecting the straight through processing of trades and assistance with mapping requests and system set ups.

You will also:

- Have oversight and provision of ongoing reconciliation processes on documentation, confirmations, clearing & other trade life-cycle events.
- Possess a continuous improvement mindset to enhance trade lifecycle workflows, improve trader P/L and risk estimates and better trade booking.

Assist with sales revenue capture and reconciliations on behalf of the Sales Desk

**What do I need?**

You will have solid stakeholder management skills within the Financial Markets value chains. You will be able to build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships which result in the consistent delivery of high-quality work. You will also possess strong Financial Market product knowledge, pricing frameworks and will be able to identify potential risks and collaborate with internal teams to establish effective controls. You will also have excellent time management skills and the ability to quickly pivot work focus due to volume and priority within a sales or trading environment.

Some further advantageous skills:

- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of Murex and/or Calypso
- Ability to troubleshoot settlement and booking issues for complex trade bookings
- Experience supporting deal inputs, resolving and amending errors and supporting the ongoing trade reconciliation processes.
