The role is to support the Contracts Manager by maintaining accurate records and ensuring that contract deliverables are completed efficiently and effectively.
The role is 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Salary is negotiable and will be based on skills and experience.
Key responsibilities (after some training) will be:
- Assist with contractual activities including liaison with production planning, suppliers and customers.
- Accept new orders on Network Rail Online Logistics (NROL) and manage them in accordance with current procedures.
- Update NROL when required.
- Respond to NROL queries.
- Expedite the collection by customers of completed work.
- Create weekly contract updates in accordance with customer terms and conditions.
- Create “zero value” renewals sales order (despatch notes) to state what is being shipped and how it is packed.
- Co-ordinate renewals transport activities by receiving instructions from the Contracts Manager/Client, issuing a plan to the selected haulier, communicating the plan internally and expediting the plan.
- Create and issue monthly free-issue consignment stock usage reports for customers including Network Rail.
- Create and upload Network Rail compliance packs for renewals.
- Assist with the management and planning of the Alphatek coating process.
- Compile reports with internal and external sales trend data to identify areas of opportunity.
- Updating Excel tracker schedules with planned and actual progress.

- Ability to communicate clearly with your team, colleagues, clients and suppliers.
- Able to work under pressure and achieve deadlines.
- Work in a logical, systematic manner.
- Working knowledge of safety, quality and environmental requirements.
**Qualifications and Experience Levels**
- Good communication skills and experience of working and influencing at operational level.
- Experienced in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and purchase order systems.
