Great Yorkshire Builders are client driven experts in residential construction, extensions, loft conversions, refurbishment, maintenance and much more. **Summary**
A GYB General Builder will deliver our site projects start to finish. They will perform general builder duties and supervise other trades. They will understand the client requirements, contract and drawings the delivery them to a high standard efficiently as possible. They will lead by example following the ‘Rules of the Game’, maintain health and safety requirements and use the company management app.
**Primary Responsibilities**
Undertake general builder duties (groundworks/bricklaying/joinery)
Running single projects or joining other teams as required
Supervise and manage a team of workers to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects
Ensure quality control and cost control
Interpret architect plans/working drawings and delivery to contract
Creating daily records and updating BMS (business management system)
Plan and order materials and hire equipment
Ensuring projects follow programme and stay within budget
Groundwork including foundations and drainage
Brickwork
Joinery
Knowledge of all trades
Log work records and task progress
May be required to assist in other areas if skills allow and are required.
**Skills & Experience Required**
Main aspect of residential building
Driver’s licence, transport and own tools required,
Have good communication & interpersonal skills with clients, colleagues, and management
Use initiative, be pro-active & self-motivated
Be willing and capable to work alone and part of a team
Have a positive commitment to the vision and values of the business
Be well organised, yet flexible to follow company protocols
