There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Group Head Office, located in Woolsington, Newcastle Upon Tyne, is looking to recruit a Treasury Assistant to join our Group Finance team.

**The Role**

The role of Treasury Assistant involves assisting with the production of internal and external treasury reporting, managing the Group’s day to day treasury activities and general banking administration. The Treasury Assistant will report to the Group Treasury Manager.

Principal accountabilities of the Treasury Assistant role include:

- Completion of banking forms
- Administration of treasury systems
- Preparation of internal and external treasury reporting, including reporting on interest, cash and cash equivalents, borrowings, bank covenants and prompt payments
- Responsible for month end interest postings and reconciliations
- Support with treasury queries, including liaising with the Group’s banking partners
- Support with co-ordinating the Group’s payment processes
- Maintain timetable of the Group’s treasury activities
- Maintain database of user access to treasury systems, including periodic user reviews
- Support with any ad-hoc treasury tasks and other tasks with the wider finance department

**Experience, Qualifications and Skills**

**Experience**
- Finance or treasury experience is required
- Experience of working with accountancy or treasury software is desirable
- Experience of working with Microsoft Office, particularly excel

**Qualifications and Training**
- GCSE Maths and English - Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent)
- AAT qualification (or equivalent) is desirable

**Skills and Aptitude**
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and administration skills, including good attention to detail
- Ability to work on own as well as part of a team
- Works effectively to deadlines and competently manages time and priorities to work on multiple tasks
- Proficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and the ability to adapt to new systems
- Committed to diversity and inclusion
