Full-time 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

**Cambridge Muslim College was established in 2009 to develop and disseminate Muslim thought leadership through world-class education, training and research based on dialogue between the Islamic tradition and the circumstances of the modern world. It currently offers a full time BA in Islamic Studies validated by the Open University, a Diploma in Contextual Islamic Studies and Leadership and an online Diploma in Islamic Psychology. It also organises and delivers a wide range of Continuing Education programmes for the general public.**

Cambridge Muslim College is a flourishing and prestigious institution dedicated to providing high-quality education and research opportunities in Islamic studies. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and efficient individual to join the college as a receptionist and administrative coordinator, which is a key member of the operations department.

**JOB PURPOSE**

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- 1. Reception Duties_

a. Welcome guests and visitors.

b. Maintain visitor log.

c. Provide information and direct visitors to the right person.

d. Maintain a tidy and organised front office reception area.

g. Take and relay messages accurately.
- 2. Administrative Support_

a. Manage and distribute incoming mail and small packages.

b. Assist with various administrative tasks, including data entry, photocopying, and filing.

c. Assist with outgoing post and publicity mail outs.

d. Keep stationary cupboards stocked.

e. Report IT/ building issues to relevant team

f. Maintain college notice boards
- 3. Merchandise_

a. Manage stock physically and on merchandise databases.

b. Keep the merchandise price list up to date.

c. Keep the merchandise area tidy and presentable.

d. Process merchandise sales
- 4. Events_

a. Work with individual departments to plan events.

b. Act as the project coordinator for all college events.

c. Assist in the delivery of the event.

d. Assist in the booking and delivery of college tours.
- 5. Departmental and Committee activities_

a. Coordinate campus room bookings for meetings

b. Coordinate with the Facilities team to ensure the correct room setup with seating and IT.

c. Layout refreshments for the meeting and tidy away afterward

**PERSONAL SPECIFICATION**

**Education & Experience**
- A level or equivalent; relevant technical or vocational qualifications are a plus.
- Previous experience as a receptionist/ administrator or a related field is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional appearance and demeanour.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
