General Maintenance Person

**Job description**
To assess and review maintenance work required in all areas of the home on a daily basis.
To check the maintenance book daily prioritising any requests.
To update the computerized maintenance management system daily.
To work closely with the current maintenance team
To respond immediately to any emergency maintenance work as requested by a member of staff.
To check that the internal/external fabric of the building is in good order and well decorated. Completing decorating tasks as required.
All electrical, mechanical & plumbing to be kept in good working order.
Ensure all tools are always stored safely and securely.
To oversee any outside contractors
To be familiar with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974
To be familiar with the Fire Safety Order 2005
To attend necessary training as requested
General gardening including hedge cutting, lawn mowing, jet washing and tidying.
When dealing with any work around the home ensure that the privacy of the service users is respected and check that there is no danger to the resident such as leaving tools lying around.
To complete mandatory weekly, monthly, annual checks for all legislative areas including, legionella, PAT, fire (equipment, alarms and training), emergency lighting and service contracts.
**Job Types**: Part Time, Permanent 3x 8 hour shifts ( Mon
- Fri) Days flexible.
**Salary**: £11.00 per hour
