Events Manager
We are seeking an Events Manager.
You will need experience having previously managed a team and havin taken responsibility for Event management.

Our Client is a membership organisation located in the City. They are a diverse, engaging and inclusive employer.
What will you be doing?
As Events Manager you will take the lead for delivery of Events and responsibility for setting challenging annual targets and KPIs, overseeing effective management of cost, exploring opportunities to develop commercial/strategic partnerships and ensuring highstandards are maintained in all aspects of the teams' work.
Managing 2 direct reports your key duties will also include:

- Set, monitor, and maintain oversight of the event strategy, delivery, and development.
- Establish objectives, budgets, resource allocation and planning.
- Create and lead events programming panels to agree themes, formats, session topics and speakers, ensuring all events are topical and address audience need.
- Work with Commercial Director/Head of Business Development to identify, build and manage long term partnerships with key external stakeholders.
- Prepare the annual events plan.
- Write event briefs for each event team to underpin the production and delivery of events. To include a clear statement on event purpose, deliverables, financial and non-financial success measures, roles and responsibilities, a production timeline) and budget.
- Lead on building and sustaining relationships with regional branches on the design and delivery of their annual conferences.
- Manage the Event Programme Leads to ensure event briefs are met, the quality of programme content, recruitment of speakers is of the highest of standard as well the delivery of each event.
- Responsibility for the recruitment, training, organisation and monitoring of direct reports.
- Any other reasonable related and required duties.
About you:
You will need to have at relevant experience within a similar Events Management position.
You will also need:

- Extensive experience of leading a successful events function and managing events in a variety of formats, sizes, markets and budgets.
- Extensive commercial experience including setting and working to budgets, developing and monitoring progress against KPIs and ensuring profit margins are sustained.
- Extensive experience of recruiting, managing and developing an events team, preferably within a commercial professional environment.
- An ability to build relationships and to work collaboratively with people at all levels.
- Confident user of Microsoft packages in an office environment, especially MS Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

The Events Manager is a permanent opportunity. The working hours are 9am-5pm Mon-Fri with some hybrid working (1-2 days from home). The applicable salary is up to £45,000pa-£50,000pa (dependent on experience).
