In 2016 alone, there were around 78,000 deaths attributable to smoking, representing 16% of all deaths across the UK. Yorkshire Smokefree Wakefield provides expert NHS advice and support for anyone who wants to stop smoking in the Wakefield District.
Our specially trained advisors offer free support and products on prescription to anyone wanting to quit smoking. It is well documented that smoking causes horrible damage to the body and those people around you. As soon as you stop smoking you will start to feel the health benefits after 20 minutes and after 10 years your risk of a heart attack will fall to that of a non-smoker.
This role is to join the Yorkshire Smokefree team as an advisor to help achieve our commitment to reduce the prevalence of smoking and tackling health inequalities for the people of Wakefield
