Adult Safeguarding Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Adult Safeguarding Specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our service users and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care in the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement stop smoking services in a range of health and community settings, including individual, group, and telephonic sessions.
- Provide general health and lifestyle advice and support to service users, including healthy eating, physical activity, and stress management.
- Deliver stop smoking support to specific client groups, such as pregnant women and routine and manual workers.
- Develop and deliver very brief, brief, and awareness training in stopping smoking as required.
- Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of attendance at smokefree support sessions and contribute to the completion of the minimum data set requirement.
- Participate in the marketing and promotion of the service alongside other colleagues.
- Undertake specific project and/or development activities in conjunction with the Service Manager and Specialist Advisors.
Requirements:
- GCSE level English and Mathematics or equivalent.
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent in health-related studies or substantial successful experience of delivering stop smoking interventions in a range of settings.
- A current driving license and access to a car during the working day is essential (reasonable adjustments will be considered for any applicants who are unable to drive due to a disability).
- Ability and willingness to work flexible hours when team/service requires, including evenings and weekends.
- Current non-smoker due to the nature of the post.
- Proven track record of reliability.
