Our client is looking to recruit an exceptional Business Development Officer. This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic team player. This is a 6-month Maternity cover starting ASAP.

You will work with the Development Manager and team to research and identify new fundraising opportunities from trusts, foundations and companies and convert these into long term business relationships. You will also work within a team to produce high quality, bespoke proposals and reports to demonstrate impact and outcomes to help drive the business across the UK.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify new funding opportunities, including charities, trusts, foundations and corporate philanthropists.
- Support in the management of monthly reporting requirements and demonstrate impact and outcomes according to grant agreements.
- Record all activities using the Salesforce CRM database.

**Competences**:

- Good attention to detail and accuracy in preparing proposals / reporting
- B2B or B2C, account management experience
- A highly motivated, supportive and collaborative team worker
- Engaging personality with excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
- To have empathy, personality and compassion

**Desirable Competences**
- Degree educated (not essential)
- Bid Writing
- Strong ability to plan ahead and manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent IT skills preferably including experience of working with a CRM

**Job Types**: Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£28,500.00 per year
