We are currently seeking Business Improvement Support to join our team based in Hull. You will be Supporting production processes by performing a limited range of defined basic production task, which might entail the use of various power tooling equipment.

You will support the business improvement team across a varied range jobs which have been suggested as a result of the just fix it process, Key Management Service (KMS) reports and general handyman tasks

Some of your key tasks will include but not be limited to:
- Consulting with operations staff and Business Improvement team to align and prioritise improvements via the Just Fix it system.- Supporting the business improvement team with higher level JFI’s (Just Fix Its).- Working with the lean team to understand 5s (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain the cycle) and lean requirements (5s blitz etc)- Setting up or installation of new items and equipment- Movement or transportation of items and equipment- Supporting with documentation creation- Permitting training and managing contractors on site- Supporting with Non-Conformance actions- Supporting risk assessment reviews as part of a working group with EHS and production to document and improve safety- Reviewing the Key Management System (KMS) tooling and equipment via Traka Web to identify any defective tooling and perform additional KMS admin- Reviewing list of calibrated tooling and liaise with QE to ensure calibrated tooling is available for the production teams

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for- You to have joinery skills and can use various hand tools- Prior experience working with Power tools and Hand tools is desirable- General handyman experience in the past is desirable- A good understanding of health and safety requirements of a working environment- Good understanding of Microsoft office tools- Licenses for B1, B2 and B3 are preferable- Experience of lean techniques and current management best practice- Problem solving skills and good communication skills are desirable- Experience of developing Production Processes from scratch is desirable- Competent to work under pressure to deadlines and take responsibility for own work- Critical/Analytical skills
